Now that it’s a new year, we look back and celebrate all that we accomplished in 2013, thanks to you. CT remains a leader in the country for passing some of the broadest laws to restrict exposure to harmful chemicals, like cadmium and BPA! To this day, we are the only state that passed a law to ban BPA from thermal receipt paper– a major source of exposure.
But we need to do more!
We’ve launched our Campaign for Toxic-Free Kids and will work tirelessly with our amazing legislative champions and policy makers to move away from single chemical bans to a sustainable framework for identifying and reducing exposure to toxic chemicals. And, we’ll continue CT’s national leadership!
On behalf of all of us in the Coalition, thank you for all your support. We could not do this without you! We wish you a safe and healthy 2014—and a wish for toxic free kids!!!
Anne Hulick, Coordinator of the Coalition for a Safe & Healthy CT
